Oh, It's More "Fan" Mail …

I think bad fan mail is a quirk that you get for having too much contact with fans.

I've had a variety of little gifts...fish, so many future cubes, I can usually line 'em all up on a coffee table or similar surface (unless my HH is really needing the money); the spoiled food (which was actually fine for my glutton sim XD); and some excellent quality food as well occasionally. I also enjoy the notes sent to brighten my celeb sims' day (even though I've probably seen 'em all now--they're still cute).

I'm having a blast with this. I really appreciate how the Dev team listened to us on the celebrity system. The 'bad' mail is a nice nod to keeping things a tad edgy, something sadly lacking from Sims3 & 4, on the whole.

And, yes, it is a Quirk. But it's fun. I especially like how uneven the message is on the package. The little cut-out lettering that gives that sense of foreboding.

I actually don't mind the 'fan mail' fish, as a vampire it is just free plasma packs all around with an endless supply of haters willing to waste their stamps sending me stinky fish :lol:

@DanmanNefarius Fans are actually this obsessed and crazy in real life. A lot of them are fringe cases and extremes, but they definitely do exist. Take Enya for example, the New Age singer from the 90s. She retired from the spotlight in the 2000s, and purchased a castle in her home country of Ireland (could have been somewhere in England, either way, on one of those islands). An obsessed fan scaled her castle's walls and broke into one of the rooms. He assaulted a maid and other staff until security apprehended him and turned him over to the authorities. He had been reported trying to steal some of her possessions before the maid he assaulted stumbled upon him. She's also received lots of other dubious letters and packages from fans. As a precaution because of the break in, she had to reinforce the castle walls with fencing so that people couldn't climb over them. So yes, obsessed fans definitely exist.

Yeah, he either got the Large Poop as a Winterfest gift, or it was from a fan. Either way my poor Erik had it in his inventory!

That I don't know. I don't use apartments. I have made a point of letting my Global Superstar be the one to collect the mail every time it's delivered. That way, he can simply pull the archaeological items from his inventory, so his sister can evaluate the piece. He just distributed a couple of toys for his toddler nephews, so he's a tad late on that. Oopsie. They'll be Child Sims in six Sim days … Okay, so he's had a lot on his mind.
