@GalacticGal it can be a fun lifetime but maybe that depends on if you just jump in on long or if you give up on normal and switch to long after putting the work in.
I start on Long. I only played on Normal for the Pinstar Legacy Challenge, as per the rules. From then on, it's Long, all the way. Yes, switching from Normal to Long can really age up some Sims faster than you'd like, and some may even pass away. You most likely have found that happy-medium, wherein you can have your Sims and play them, too.
