Oh, That Was So Cute!
Today, for the first time in a few days, I have been able to play my game. Earlier in the week I'd played, but it was a different save. So, I had to look around to see just where I'd left off with this family. Oh, that's right, Mom is preggars. Oh, she's also in labor! (I left the game while she was in labor?) :open_mouth: She gave birth to her fifth child, a second girl. Shortly before, Dad comes home from work. What I had quite forgotten was that Mom had accepted an invitation from her mother to go see a show — that is, until the pop-up informed her it was time to go. Off she went, leaving Dad with four toddlers (don't freak out they're staggered in age) and a brand new infant. No worries, Chief Detective that he is, he's able to wrangle his way through the situation. He grills up some chicken to get the wee ones fed. See's to it his third son gets some potty training in and a much needed bubble bath.
Before too long, Mom returns, extolling the virtues of this play and that the actress is well-deserving of a Simmy. What I realized, is I forgot to have her change out of her one-piece bathing suit before she left. :open_mouth: Doesn't anybody dress for the theatre anymore?
Being a full-time Mom, she autonomously springs into action. She goes outdoors to check on the oldest two boys who are playing on their jungle-gym. She notices right away that her eldest is wandering about with a hang-dog expression on his face. (He's very sad and in need of FUN.) Mom has a fix for this. She tells him "It'll be okay", then she invites him to play. Whoosh! he's flying through the air, then on her back and then is being dumped upside down. (Wash, rinse, repeat.) Dad suddenly comes outdoors to "See what's happening". (I've never seen that response before.) Then he stands there and watches as his wife and son play. He laughs, a bit of a chuckle and I'm thinking that's just so cute!
Outside of me setting her up to play with the boy everything else was completely autonomous! It's moments like this that remind me just why I LOVE this game!
Please, share your cute moments, your warm and fuzzy moments or this is the worst that could happen moments, orchestrated by you, or not. :)
