- TomaTeri6 years agoSeasoned NewcomerI'm wondering if we are getting witches and fairies maybe? I don't mind if not, because I want witches, fairies and werewolves all fleshed out as they did vampires. And I don't care in which packs they come as long as they are coming. But this GP is exciting anyways!

Survey ideas of Witches GP and Fairies GP
I wouldn't mind both of these if possible and even pay a little more. I don't like the either or selection. Was the poll before they decided to go 64bit? - Fairies never had anything to them, other than their looks, that I couldn't justify giving to Witches instead.
And the look you can already somewhat get if you use spooky stuff. The very same pack that has the witch hat. - I'm gonna buy it just because I like to have all the packs and for eventual Build & Buy objects that it might include, but I'm not too interested on the theme.

Characters EA use will have to be unique to Sims as using Harry Potter or any other character would run into copyright infringement issues. Using the word "Realm" does seem more like a medieval word with a ruler. They could be using it temporarily though.

Not really seeing EA did the Harry Potter series from each movie/book and has contracts/partnerships already set in stone. So EA already owns Rights to some of the Harry Potter but whether or not it can be utilized in a separate series like in the Sims would be the question. Like for instance they may be under obligation to also have the Harry Potter characters portrayed or may have to stay within the story - or they may have options to get new permissions with the studios and JK Rowling otherwise. Like they may need to work with her in making it if say they wanted to extend to different characters unless that right was already an option. It all depends on the contract and rights they bought already and the agreement with all concerned in that original series - and how flexible it is. But if any company could do it - EA could seeing the rights they hold already.
Keep in mind too JK has stated (she posted once about it) she plays the Sims and loves the game - so that is in our corner also. It is very possible -

I'm glad she likes the Sims but I am not really a fan of Harry Potter. I'm more of a Terry Pratchett fan. (runs away and hides) B) - I would like to have a little bit of fantasy in TS4. The SimGurus have a really good opportunity here. It may just be the Game of Thrones hype dying down in me, but I want dragons, a lot.
- JeanVW6 years agoSeasoned AceSimilar to Sims 1, but with option to opt out of Magic.
- madstarlet6 years agoRising TravelerI want something that encompasses a broad range of magic types. Genies, witches, voodoo, wizards, and also generic magicians would be cool. Not sure they could fit that into a game pack, but it would be an awful lot of fun!
- Not my thing, but others want it so I don't have a problem if they do that. For me it would depend on if they have cool building materials with it.
