As frustrating as it would be to wait longer, when it's already been such a long wait, it also sounds like you've put a lot of work into getting this save right where you want it. If it were me, I would be inclined to just pause the game for a week or two in hopes that your essential mods will be updated fairly quickly. What is their track record like for updating after other major changes to the game? Do you have any other favorite games you could play in the meantime? Could you be temporarily satisfied with keeping your main save backed up and just using an alternate save to build new lots in San Sequioa (or other worlds, with the new assets and lot type), or testing out the new features on a test save with another family, so that you will have it down pat when you feel safe to proceed with your main save?
I have waited for the babies to be untethered since this game was released in 2014. And while I do appreciate your suggestions, I clearly don't see me able to just sit on my hands for yet another two weeks. And using a different set of Sims to experiment with the Infants defeats my whole purpose. Again, certain mods are needed. MCCC is the one that will be updated first, Deaderpool is very on top of things. RTF just recently was updated after being broken for I don't recall how long. I'm just hoping that the rabbit hole features will still function after the patch. That's what I'm back to, at this point. But that works. Erik can still produce albums and do photoshoots. That's really all I need. I build when I need a break and when I feel inspired. At the moment I'm feeling defeated on so many levels. This game is my one and only game. I'm a reluctant gamer, if you will. Didn't get into it until 2005 and it was Sims2 that sparked something in me.
And I had such big plans for today's gaming session, too. Oh, well.
