Exposing the underlying ground when done.
It's almost as if it's dry packed ice and not snow. The dog doesn't sink into a deep, wet snow, nor does her body. I don't know, it makes me think dry ice.
Also, with the shadowing there it looks to me as though the sim making the snow angel is hovering above the ground.
