The thing is bugs don't plague everyone's game. No one can promise you a bug-free experience with this EP, unfortunately. I bought this EP on release day because I was really excited to have the Simple Living lot trait and still am but if it wasn't for the lot trait I probably would have waited for a sale. It's a bummer to find out I can't play the new world without breaking save files. EA is looking into that issue btw but a fix might take a while.
I think a player who enjoys gardening in the game would find a lot of use for the farm animals too. If you don't want to wait for a sale and you think it's worth it after reviewing game guides + playthroughs on YouTube then go for it. Make sure all mods are up to date and make a copy of your save files/game folder. If you do wait for a sale I'm sure it wouldn't take too long.
