For me personally at first view from the reveal render, they did NOT look like a "wolf" .... at all. They looked like a human in a broadway play or something with make-up on to make them resemble an animal, but not a wolf. They had more of a cat or fox look to me.
But, after seeing the gameplay trailer and being able to actually see a sideview of their heads, I'm feeling a little more ok with them.
Obviously they could not have a long nose/muzzle like an actual dog (aka wolf) because of the limitations in CAS and with animations.
I'm super happy that they transform 100% better than I thought they would too! In my mind, I just knew they'd do the whole "spin in a circle" thing like changing clothes and WaaaaLaaaaa, they're a werewolf! So that exceeded my expections!
Overall, I'm ok with them. I know that people will be able to come up with some much more dark and menacing type of werewolves rather than the happy smiling ones in the gameplay trailer.
Now, as far as the legs/feet go? Yeahhh .... 1000% total disappointment there for me!
Without the digi-legs, they give off the appearance of a human dressing up in a costume. I would have much preferred the werewolf form to have had canine legs and clawed paws even if that meant we had to give up them wearing shoes.
What I was hoping for:
