Does this still work, or is the a bug that has since been "fixed"? If I try it, the sim from the active household simply won't leave. She'll get the "go to work" in her queue, and then a call from her boss when she's late, but just won't go to work.
I had the parent go to work and I would end up back at the played sims home with the toddler off to day or if anyone was home then they would stay home.
