Thank you rose. It won't let me uninstall. It says it's being used by another program. I have restarted my computer on signed out of Origin, but still it won't let me.- JaggidEdje7 years agoSeasoned Ace@applefeather2, PC or MAC?

It's a PC- JaggidEdje7 years agoSeasoned Ace@applefeather2, Open taskmaster then and find the running process for origin, then force it to end. See if you can then uninstall it.
Not sure how PC savvy you are, so I'll give step by step:
1. Right click the windows taskbar, select "Task Manager"
2. Under the "processes" tab, find the Origin task, right click on it and select to "end task"
3. If you get any popup about doing that, confirm that it is what you want to do.
4. Look farther through the list to be sure there is no other Origin task running, such as "OriginwebhelperService" or "OriginClientservice".
5. if you see either of those, or anything else starting with "origin" and the orange Origin icon, follow steps 2 and 3 to end task on those as well.
Once you have forced exit on all origin related processes, try to uninstall. "Stormkeep;c-16842207" wrote:

Thank you. I had already closed it before trying. It still won't let me uninstall.- Try clean booting your computer, then uninstall it then
https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/ - I got it to uninstall via control panel, the old fashioned way. I have now reinstalled it, and my game is now updating. Thanks so much for your help!
