Origin update broke keyboard zoom and 1st person view?

I disabled all mods just to make sure that had nothing to do with it, but prior to updating origin today, my game worked fine, and immediately after, I can't use the keyboard arrow keys to zoom in or ...

The factory reset didn't help either but I'm grateful to know about that crinrict site now.
Now to uninstall and reinstall and hope that fixes this, because still no zoom in or out using the keyboard and still no way at all to access first person view. Fingers crossed a reinstall fixes this. I'm hopeful because other people can still use first person view and zoom in and out using arrow up and down keys on the keyboard? So that they didn't just do away with those abilities for everyone?
