Outdoor retreat and community lots...

I am in the process of updating the world that came with Outdoor Retreat in my main saved game to make it more palatable to actually use it. I've become a bit bored with it to be honest, so I was thinking of updating all the cabins and make it more family friendly by adding toddler and kids stuff into them. I have already done so with another saved game I am also playing in and it came out really well.

But it got me thinking that maybe I could sacrifice one of the rental lots and change them into a community lots my Sims could visit when the solitude and nature got too much? Maybe a bar or a lounge? Or even a restaurant. Is that even possible?

If it is possible, which I don't really see why not as the Selvadorada vacation world even has a bar along with a museum and a park...

Have you guys done this and if so, how did it fare? Is it possible to have a restaurant and even a Sim owned restaurant in the Outdoor Retreat world? Although I am more leaning towards a bar or a lounge to be honest.
