Totally agree with you, and it's a real shame.
If you use CC, I heartily recommend PandaSama's Tumblr feed. If you grab everything made for toddlers and children there it's like getting 2-3 Game Packs devoted exclusively to them (yes, Game Packs...there's a lot of new objects and new animations, not just "stuff").
And, even better, unlike official Game Packs...everything works.
