- I have no idea, it seems a bit weird to me. But if you put a radio or speaker down, sims can listen to music while they paint. And if you have fitness stuff, you have "turn on" the earbuds and their fun will raise while you paint (or do anything else).
- mariefoxprice83Seasoned VeteranI wish it was fun for all sims. In my low tech save, it was hard to keep up their fun.
- I thought I read inspired sims can raise their fun doing creative things.
- iliekponiezSeasoned Rookie@Writin_Reg Can they? I had no idea. :open_mouth:
- Stina1701ARising RookieListening to the radio while programming/writing/painting and etc is great way to up the fun. I was chuffed when I found this out and didn't have to rely so much on the good old woohoo to cheer up my workaholics nor interrupt their work to do said woohoo.

@Writin_Reg Tried out painting with an inspired sim. Still no fun. Oh, well. :(
Well that royally rots. Painting needs to be fun - as what kid doesn't like art class?
In real life it is often considered soothing or relaxing for people to engage in, and is used in therapies for people of all ages - including used as a stress reliever.
Maxis REALLY needs to fix this.- I've noticed this but I actually like it that way. It gives the creative trait a lot more flavor than what most of the other emotional traits have. I wish they all had a similar effect.

Well, Creative Sims could get a boost to how much fun they get, and be able to create better and more varied paintings. I don't think of myself as particularly creative, but I still like painting."SimQueenie9;c-16984411" wrote:

I don't :) . And in terms of gameplay I think it's already a powerful enough skill, even for non creative sims. Coupled with the fact that there are countless ways to raise the fun need, I like the idea of not being able to simply reach for any object on any sim to get it up and to actually have to take their traits into account."SimQueenie9;c-16984414" wrote:

What about Sims that have the Painter Extraordinaire aspiration but aren't Creative, then? Shouldn't they find it enjoyable?
In my opinion, no. It's definitely possible to have aspirations that you don't enjoy pursuing.
