I've noticed this but I actually like it that way. It gives the creative trait a lot more flavor than what most of the other emotional traits have. I wish they all had a similar effect.
Well, Creative Sims could get a boost to how much fun they get, and be able to create better and more varied paintings. I don't think of myself as particularly creative, but I still like painting.
I don't :) . And in terms of gameplay I think it's already a powerful enough skill, even for non creative sims. Coupled with the fact that there are countless ways to raise the fun need, I like the idea of not being able to simply reach for any object on any sim to get it up and to actually have to take their traits into account.
What about Sims that have the Painter Extraordinaire aspiration but aren't Creative, then? Shouldn't they find it enjoyable?
In my opinion, no. It's definitely possible to have aspirations that you don't enjoy pursuing.
