Parenthood (Making a Mess)

The kids making a mess is becoming chaotic in public area's. In my Newcrest play, I was jogging around the block and where there are monkey bar's and a nearby picnic area, there were over 20 messes made by kids.

I had left my Sim in the area while taking control over the other one at home & noticed the unhappy/dirty mood on the sim I left in the area & was shocked at how many messes he was attempting to clean.

Perhaps toning it down some would be great.

I understand the feature & why it's there, but it was pretty out of control in my play-through.

No Mods or CC used.
  • I don't have a problem if you have to many kids none players then delete them.

Well now I'm worried they'll nerf the kids making a mess and the kids will never make messes again.

Please DON'T!!! If you must make any adjustments, please just tone down the messes in community lots.

I like the way kids make messes at home just the way it is!!

As far as I'm concerned they can take that interaction out altogether. But I have noticed it's diminished quite a bit since Jungle Adventures came out, but that could also be because I've started a new game & don't have a lot of children in it yet.

Do you really, really want to make it "okay" for EA to take out existing features of the game? Do you really want that to be the norm? Next on the chopping block might be a feature or interaction you cherish. This is not like previous games. We can't simply undo any update by reinstalling the games from disk.

A lot of people have issues with the autonomy related to high chairs. How would you feel if one day after a patch you started playing and all high chairs were gone. "People were complaining about high chairs, so we just removed them."

These requests for existing, established features to be removed is treading on very very thin ice, in my opinion.

If this ever becomes accepted practice, I will stop playing immediately. There are plenty of other games that can occupy my attention.

    I... just... can't...

It's probably already too late, they have the fix to nerf making messes already lined up in the next few updates probably...
  • @PARADISEPLANET Good to know that it's being looked into.

I do not want to see a total removal of this feature, but it really needs some work. :)
