Parenthood relationship labels...

How do they work, exactly? Specifically, the "thick as thieves" and "childhood enemy" ones. Does "positive relationship with a rival sibling" just mean there's only a small amount of red in the relationship bar, or are they still considered rivals if it goes back to green? I've never raised a Sim from birth to adulthood before, so this might be a silly question. ^^;

    I think the amount of mean and mischievous things done between siblings and amounts of strict punishments and commands by parents determine the relationships after sim becomes a young adult.

    I just think of it as a little flavor text. I have no idea if you can lose “childhood buds” and “parented passively” etc if your relationship goes into the red, good question.
    You only get those labels when your sim turns a YA so I doubt if they had a bad relationship beyond that it would affect it.

  • I meant, if they argued when they were kids and their relationship bar went red, but it went back up to green before they aged up.

    I have never experienced that in my game, but I would imagine it works like the relationship to any other Sim does. Your couple can fight, and perhaps break up, but then work on amending things until they're back in the green. After that, they are fine.
  • I got thick as thieves, I mean my sims never had a problem with his twin sister they get along pretty well yet it says "having good relationshio with rival siblings" rivaling in what exactly? They have 2 different hobbies my sims is in culinary and his twin sister is a gym rat.
