I am part of a sims Facebook group. One of the members is currently at EA play and she is testing island living. She posted an update that adults now have the same part time job options as teens (babysitter, etc.) sims are even able to have two part time jobs at once. I’m not sure how to upload an image, otherwise I’d upload a screenshot.

If this is the case, I am so beyond thrilled. I've wanted the part-time jobs to be available for adult sims for ages. Ages! I never understood why not. Sims should be able to have jobs that don't lead to some top amazing career.

Good if it's true because keeping that particular mod up to date has been complicated to say the least.

This is wonderful! As someone who likes legacy play, this will be good for managing the size of your family's household funds as well as giving everyone something to do.

It's been a bug lately that teens can't get one and only the school which counted as a job, do you know if that has been fixed? I hope that it can be because I would love to be able to get my adult sims a part time job as well.

That's cool. Sometimes I have my sims quit their jobs when they become parents and part-time jobs would be nice for them or elder sims that are retired.

I think it is coming in a patch. Island Living will include fisherman, diver instructor, and lifeguard as part time jobs as well. Another simmer who attended EA play posted an article confirming the new part time jobs. The article can be found on simsvip

Yes there are but lately you can't get one because it counts their school and if you try it makes you choose job or school. It's been reported on the EA site already, just hope it's fixed so it can be used

Just logged onto my teen sim that previously was unable to get a part time job along with school, and this time it worked. Glad it's been fixed there were lots that had this issue.

@smurfy77 only if you have either MC mod OR @Triplis's "Quit School" Mod (more likelier the second one-i know I have it currently because I didn't want Selene to go to school for story purposes)

Oh no I did not have any mods installed at that time, it just was a bug, I actually found it on the EA help site as I was not the only one having it, but it does seem to be fixed. I only use MCCC but had already removed it from my computer at that time, so it was not a mod.

For anyone thinking that it requires Island Living, it doesn't! It's gonna be with the patch coming out on the 18th!
