I didn't have any stuff packs for TS4 until this year. Now that I'm in the US, I do buy a bit more stuff - but I still wait for sales. I grabbed Romantic Garden for $5 dollars, which is about €4 euros. Grabbed Dine Out for about €12 with the conversion, and the Spa Day Game Pack Bundle for €23,- converted... totally intend to continue to profit off the dollar while I'm here and grab some more stuff when there's more sales. Thank you, euro, for being stronger than the dollar. :scream:
But yeah, I did play this game without SPs for about a year, and I played The Sims 2 with only a few EPs and none of the SPs until I got the ultimate collection years later... and I never really missed them. I had loads and loads of cc back in TS2 days so SPs didn't really bring anything I needed. Now, with TS4, I don't really use cc so there are things I miss about SPs. I LOVE that one hairstyle in Backyard Stuff, but can't justify buying a whole pack just because I want this one hairstyle. I really like the clothing/furniture in Move Hangout but the concept of movie hangout doesn't appeal much to me so my Dutch frugality again stops the avid Simmer in me from buying. I did just buy a whole GP bundle not because I was all that interested in Spa Day, but really only because I wanted this one hairstyle that came with Luxury Party and hot tubs. So I actually bought that bundle not for the GP, but rather for the SPs.
It can be so hard being Dutch. I want all them packs but my Dutchness is like nah bro, be practical. Why spend €10 to buy virtual clothes when you can buy real clothes with that money? Why spend €20 to have your virtual pixels go out to eat when you can use that to actually go out to eat? Why spend €20 watching them pixels go to the Spa when you can go to an actual Spa? As much as I love this game, that's how my brain tends to think lol.
