I agree that it's not really inclusive if they exclude gender appropriate terms. They should offer the alternative of the gender ambiguous terms for those who want to use them but not remove the traditionally gendered options.
I miss those and I was worried, but in my own language they switch the term to the status too, the replacement word for Boyfriend/Girlfriend its kind of cute. I haven't heard it in like 30 years, and it's named like a dating show from that time. With that status thing they could offer the next steps with divorce or widowed.
In general I'm okay with neutral term, I use them from time to time, since the names from the foreigners not always really familiar to me to use the correct greeting form, however I don't like it that the inclusive speak makes biological women invisible again. We fight centuries to get more visible in the language and now, just after a short time, it's gone again. It feels for me like a backstep and betrayel of our achievements.
