Patch and Base Game Update Discussion (New Patch released today 7/26)

i got the black screen issue other have been complaining about.  not happy

Just a reminder that some mods may need updating after the emergency patches. UI Cheats was updated this afternoon, so make sure you have the latest if you use it.

I've literally been taking files out, putting files in, getting updated mods over and over and over....for 2 weeks. Not playing the game at all because I can't. And every other day is an update? I've been playing TS since 1 so am used to the problems but this is crazy. I stopped putting as many mods in my game (though I still have a lot of CC) and I'm pretty much done buying packs. And still, so many problems. It's exhausting, frustrating and unexplainable.

Several big name mods were updated on Tuesday after the base game update and then again on Thursday or Friday to re-update their mods after the e-patches. I'll signal boost telemwill and say if you use mods double and even triple check them.

The base game update, the Lovestruck EP, and the e-patches made significant changes to the game. Mod and CC users especially need to be aware of these changes. I'm a big mods and cc user and these patches and the EP itself are game changers on a fundamental level.

This update has caused me mental health issues. 

Overall I haven't been experiencing any of the issues that people have been complaining about. I've turned off my mod and only played my patch vanilla save until yesterday when I updated mods and went back into my ordinary game and it worked fine. 

However, the issues with dx11 that the original patch was supposed to fix hasn't been fixed for me. I can use the alt-tab and window-button to get a list of what is open which I couldn't before, but I cannot switch to any of them. My game also have issues loading when using dx11 (my computer can handle dx11 just fine, I've checked).

So my feedback is that the Dx11 still does not work as intended. I hope you work this out because I really, really want to switch to dx11. 

I've just noticed we can pan around the room while our sims take selfies on the phone!
