I've been playing a lot of sims mobile lately and if it weren't for the real-time cash grabbiness that's all too typical of EA and phone games in general, I'd say that I actually enjoy it more than the actual Sims 4. I like that there are different stories you can pursue, that there are hobbies and didn't even realize the lack of the emotion system which just reaffirms for me that it was a stupid idea in the first place.
Logically, I know that the emotions, sentiments and lifestyles' system probably aren't going to work together at all. I'm not even certain what they are yet but I know they'll be a buggy mess. It'll also probably just be a rehash of the quirks system and be exclusive to this expansion pack like those little popup events from Eco Lifestyle, this is EAxis after all.
But there's a small glimmer of hope in me that this "new" feature will prompt the team to finally add things like memories, turn on and offs, and different relationships (fiance, partner etc) in CAS. I want my sims to remember their first kiss and which parent taught them how to walk, I want to be able to start off two sims as dating and not married and I want my sims to reject someone's advances because they just aren't into them, not because the flirting action randomly decided to fail.
I also want more of those popup events to be patched in. They're a good way to add optional story events. I remember in Sims 3 a sim could move in to a home that was rat infested or haunted and you could choose whether or not you wanted to deal with that. I love things like this in my game and wouldn't mind them adding more as long as they aren't locked behind an expansion. And keeping them optional keeps people from whining about being forced into things.
