Pet Genetics

I've been trying to test out the pet genetics but I'm not really getting the results I'd like. Apparently custom/painted coats don't actually mix with each other or presets, they just seem to swap. I ...

These are my first examples of pet genetics. The father is displayed on the left, the mother on the right, and the baby in the middle.
