Does anyone know if a vampire can or cannot train a pet?
I married my sim to Caleb Vatore and he's being buggy since then... He can't train my dog, and their daughter always dislikes him, and many more that don't matter for this post... but I dunno if the training thing is a bug or if vampires really can't train dogs. His relationship to my dog is really high, and he can perform trained tricks, but can't train nothing....
Apparently when you move another Sim into your existing household, said Sim cannot train pets that were part of the household prior to the moving in (or change their outfits, for some reason). I think it's a bug. If you add a pet after that Sim moved in, then they can interact with the new pet normally.
Example: I had a Sim and her two dogs living together for a while, then married in Akira. He couldn't train either of my two dogs, but once I added a new dog via CAS, he could train the new dog.- Hello
This is a link to a guide to the Pet Training skill
https://simsvip.com/the-sims-4-pets-guide/#TrainingSkill - Have the pet training mechanics changed? I didn't see anything in recent patch notes, but I noticed that my recent games with cats no longer show the option to scold or praise for specific actions like scratching furniture or digging in the trash. Unless it's just something that shows up in cats with the Clever trait?

Hello @DuchessRed
Did your sim adopt the cat ? If they did, this AHQ EA thread refers to the issue. You may like to post feedback there
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-CD-Can-t-lecture-train-pets/m-p/6414298#M50457- @rosemow Thanks! And to answer your question, yes, the cat was adopted as a kitten and just aged up. I haven't checked to see if the same problem occurs with CAS pets, but will do so.

You’re welcome :)
