- I love it. I almost always have one or more sims in my households who have mastered the skill. But I give all my sims cameras anyway. Love to take pictures of their families, decorate their houses with memories and other beautiful shots.

As already mentioned, it would be great if we could take mixed ages and larger group photos with the studio. And also hire a photographer so we could have the whole family in the shoot. It would also be great to have better backgrounds on it.
And I would love a collection aspect to the photo skill, like in sims 3. Take a photo of such and such etc. I loved doing those, they gave something to aim for.
Another update we could do with is a variety of picture frame styles and colours. Its lovely to hang portraits and scenic pics but I do wish we could match the frames to our decor. - I find I don't use it a lot. Maybe it'll get better with the Fashion Photographer career we're told is coming in the Moschino Stuff Pack.
- I LOVE photography. It's fun to take shots of places and objects, and it's nice to have a record of family members through family photos. Also, no matter how many cc pictures I download, it seems like there's never enough to decorate the different houses, so it's great to have so many of my own pictures to choose from. I make an art retail store and resell copies of them there so that anyone in the neighborhood can buy one and hang it in their house.
I'm currently playing a Victorian save, so I gear the photos toward what Victorians would have pictures of, like landscapes and still life. I was going to have a painter paint them, but then I realized what crap the painting quality is, so I have him take photos and then pretend like they're paintings in game, or like they're sketches if I use the sepia or black-and-white filters.
Here are some examples I took at various locations (The Bluffs, Windenburg, and a cathedral I built with some cc):

And here's a family photo. I was experimenting with having the same background as where the photo is hung, but I don't like it matching the wallpaper and won't do that again. Ignore the look on the girl's face...she was actually in a good mood; she was just being a teenager, LOL.

My sims' houses tend to always end up looking like photo studios with all the photos posted on the walls. Gets even more crammed when they get a better camera that can take larger prints.

My main problem with Photography is how it spams my Screenshot folder, making it hard to sort through to find the actual screen caps I take to document my play.
Combined with the sheer number of photos needed to level the skill, it is a serious hassle.
I do like to save a lot of the photos for my own viewing, but I can see when you take a lot of screen caps it can be a pain. Maybe a subfolder for photos would do, and have nothing but screen caps in the screenshots main folder. "Sindocat;c-17151748" wrote:

Yes I agree, and it’s a bit silly that ea set it up so that a copy goes into screenshots. I usually have my sim go on walks and take a bunch at a time, so it’s pretty easy to just go into screenshots once I close my game and do a quick shift-click select and delete. As long as you’re on top of it, it’s not a big deal, but I can see how some people wouldn’t want to bother with it. I also will save an occasional photography screenshot of scenery if it comes out particularly nice.- HillyPlays6 years agoSeasoned AceI just got Moschino stuff and all my photos have frames and I can't remove them or put the photos in new frames! I deleted the mod that gave us the frames from Strangerville and it just started happening after I got the new SP.
