I tend to get new story ideas when a new pack is on the horizon, but I've never fully completed them. So it's been forever since I've played a family/story long enough to where a sim dies. But I'm making an exception here to also test the funeral aspect early.
For the "Reaper Rewards", I created a small household with a child, who's interested in the macbre, doing the event. She lives with her hard working father and spirited mother on a ranch. The mother meets her end in an accident (not sure how yet, or if the daughter or father will somehow be at fault for the accident). But after the loss, they move to the new world Ravenwood. The father takes the job of a mortician, and the daughter grows to take an interest in tarrot cards, and eventually the career of the grim reaper. I see the father and daughter with a distant relationship, that may be repaired as I explore the new features of the pack. The rebirth feature is pretty interesting to me, so perhaps, depending how it works, the mother will be reborn, and maybe the daughter will have an interest in being a ghost with new powers.
