Isn't it still really difficult to become a plantsim because it was part of some old event that doesn't exist anymore?
No, you just need the Magic PlantSim Stump item from base game (Build and Buy > Objects by Room > Outdoors > Outdoor activities or Objects by Function > Activities and Skill > Outdoor Activities) and complete the Magic Beans collection. You can find the Magic Beans by opening Rare Seeds packets, scavenging as a Werewolf, or other means of finding random collectibles like digging, fishing, etc.
