Plants growing wild

I wonder if any of the more advanced flowers and fruits grow wild in certain hoods/worlds? I know we will easily find the basics, but I guess the rare stuff might be harder to find? Also, is there any online list showing what pack introduced each plant? I guess that world would be the natural location to start searching for a certain plant...
  • Here's guide where you can find some plants, but I don't think it's complete. Not sure what you mean by rare stuff, but you can order some of the rare seeds on the phone.

Thanks :) I already saw that page, but link might still come useful. By rare I mean not the "Common". The common plants I think are easy to find, while say Begonia and Paradise bird is harder. I know they can be grafted, but I'm not trying to get hold of the plants, but to learn where they grow in the wild.

I'm doing a project where I will research every hood manually, just was hoping for some time savings... :)

My sims usually get begonia and paradise flowers from the different delivery services. :) And debug if I can't locate them otherwise.
  • There is a lovely and large greenhouse I found on the gallery that is stocked full of plants of any and all kinds found in the game. Some I was aware of and some I never knew existed. Since I was having my Sims move to a new town, I thought the idea of a greenhouse (already started) would be a good idea. I've recently used MCCC to set the gardening to automatic, which is helping. I think my Sims lost about five fully grown plants. (They lost several of their older generation in their family and nobody felt like doing anything. I had to jump in and rescue the chickens!) I know I had them purposefully remove the poison ones. Why on Earth would anyone grow poison Elderberries alongside the regular Elderberries? And there was something else that was on the unhealthy side of plants, too. I came across an alien quill fruit plant. There is also some other kind of alien pod that I have no clue what to do with. But I'm blown away at the variety of plants and flowers in this greenhouse. I think every mushroom in the game is growing in here, too. I know I took a little bit of time to rearrange the planters so that the edibles were grouped together. I like to have the herbs and mushrooms together; the spinach, green peas? together, the potatoes, carrots together. Tomatoes technically are a fruit, so they go near the grapes.

Here is a picture of one end of it. I wish I could recall who made it.

Here's the same little filly getting into things. That's the alien quill fruit plant she's nose deep in. :open_mouth:

  • I could be mistaken, but I don't think that any of the plants which need to be produced by grafting actually grow in the wild (although there are other ways to get them).
  • Not exactly growing in the wild, I think the bird of paradise flower can be found in the romance festival in San Myshuno in spring or summer. Sophie the snail also gives out rare seeds occasionally, as do the birds in Bramblewood if you befriend them.

  • Have gotten both bird of paradise and dragon fruit at both the spice and romance festivals. Sometimes one or the other, sometimes both. Same goes for cowplant, but that one is hit or miss.

cute little filly, but I hope the alien quill plant didn't prick her nose.
