I am still having tremendous problems trying to use platforms. I have no CC anywhere and no mods whatsoever. Here is a description of the problem.

SOOO! Frustrated.

First, make sure that you're clicking the arrows to raise the platform. Do not try to drag it up like you would with foundation.

Second, I'm not sure why your platforms are disappearing, but if it's just the walls, you can put them back afterwards.

OOF! Thanks. Yes, that was it. I just tested it and it worked, however, I also found that this isn't going to work for my build as you can't use exterior wall patterns on them. (Some of the platforms will not have rooms around them.) Well, I guess I wait.
