Play Sims 2 Pleasantview in the Sims 4

For Sims 2 fans who struggle to get into the Sims 4, or for Sims 2 fans in general, listen up.

Cindy of PleasantSims just released a save file that recreates the beloved neighborhood of Pleasantview in the Sims 4. The houses, community lots, playable families, and even townies/NPCs like Goopy GilsCarbo are recreated. All of the playable sims are recrafted in terms of their looks, personality, interfamily relationships, and lore. The recreation is so precise that even the starting family funds of households are reproduced to the exact simoleon.

  • I have a Sims 2 in Sims 4 save that I found years ago, but it's out of date with all the new worlds. I don't know if it's the same creator or not.
  • I really loved the Sims2. In fact, that's where my Simming Odyssey began. I finally tackled creating my own neighborhood and from then on, I left the other ones behind. I also only once played a premade, the Beakers, I believe right before Sims3 came out, just to be able to say I did. LOL I did desire to have the Wright Way House back and was very happy when a Sims3 player created it. I quickly uploaded it and then realized a key element was missing, as in a roof to block out the cold on the third floor. I only investigated it after the youngest child got taken away by Social Services because despite his warm, winter jammies, he was just too cold at nights. :open_mouth:

She did a good job on the world although I would have loved to see aversion utilising all the packs. Also I don't like using mods, so this is not for me, but it looks very nice anyway and I appreciate the work!

I literally just watched that video as well. I thought about linking it here too.
  • I mainly played just a few sims in TS2 and I brought them back into TS4 which has been very fun. Obviously, I play in a more complicated way now. In TS2, I mostly played one family the entire time that I played it and the son of the family had a love interest but they never really got to the point of actually being together before I moved onto TS3. I didn't play them in TS3 or for most of TS4. More recently though, I brought them back and with High School Years, I brought the long-lost love interest of the oldest son back so they would run into each other again. It's kind of the next chapter of the story and they are as smitten (literally) with each other as they were. He dropped everything when she showed up. The retro romance at the carnival really suits them since they are literally retro sims.

Bringing back vintage sims that you remember can be very fun. Mine weren't pre-mades but the effect was the same. That's my point.

I also saw that video. It brings back some nostalgia. I won't play this save but perhaps I will add some of the builds to my game.
