Anyone reacting negatively to new simmers getting the 8 years old base game for free: How mad do you get when a movie you paid to watch in the cinema is running for free on a TV channel 2-3 years later? It's pretty much the same, except you (hopefully) had tons more hours of fun from buying the basegame than going to the cinema. Not many ppl would pay a full cinema ticket to watch an old film, just like fewer gamers will invest in a 8 years old game... If I get any old game it would only be because it is practically free.
