Playful is becoming an issue

One of my Sims keeps getting Hysterical. His playful and happy buffs add up to 10 when this happens. I thought they needed 15 to get hysterical, but he's hysterical at 10. Did they lower it at some point? I once had a glitch where he got hysterical even though he had no playful buff. He didn't die because he's a teen, but it has got me worried about older Sims becoming hysterical when they shouldn't and dying from it.
