DaniRose2143Having the simgurus on Twitter in the first place is a bad idea, unless they are specifically community managers or part of PR/marketing. Like a generic, "this is the Sims 4 official twitter."
Also, I'm not on twitter, so did people actually threaten him? If it's just a bunch of random people saying, "you suck; you can't make a good EP" or something, then what did you expect? But see my earlier point about why having direct access to specific employees who work on the game is a bad idea.
The internet is an ugly place you have to search for beauty and kindness. You won't find it on Twitter. I feel bad for the Guru but I would have been mum knowing what the new EP is all about. People are always angry and looking for someone to blame or let their frustrations out online.
