Please help skill books not working

So my wife's game went wacky, he sims can't read books, she clicks on them there is no read option. When she uses a skill book she sim just sits there and gets 0 skill from it. We have removed her whole game, reinstalled in, and then wiped her whole computer, and still nothing. We even tried my save file witch works fine with skill books, and nothing.

    Same! Ever since the last update, skill books no longer improve the skills!

    For simmers who are having this issue, it would be good to press “ me too” on the AHQ EA site thread so as the Deveopers are aware that you are having this issue.

    I started experiencing this bug yesterday and it's a huge bummer. I just hit "me too" on the linked thread (thanks @rosemow). Hopefully this is fixed along with the apartments bug ASAP.

    Yeah, I have this problem too (actually the sole reason I created my account rn), I hope it gets fixed soon.
