I had unwanted twins the other day and I found that I didn't even need to age up the baby. I went into manage household and it allowed me to delete the infant without having to age up first. I don't think the pregnancy.clear thing works. I have tried it before... Nope. But there is the Pregnancy.Terminate Mod? This Mod is on Modthesims where you can get rid of your pregnancy, no matter what stage unless your giving birth, in that case your screwed. Besides typing Cas.fulleditmode with Testingcheats on you can edit your sims family fully and get rid of the kid by aging it up right away.
