Is it really by design that the Nurse working in the hospital just stands in front of one patient all day, blocking you from interacting with or treating them? This has always happened since GTW was released. It's absurdly obnoxious and badly design. It blocks your Doctor sim from doing their job on at least one patient.Why can't they go and admit patients to beds? Why can't they just move at all? At least the receptionist, which doesn't do anything either, stays out of the way and has an answering phones animation. The nurse just doesn't do anything but get in your way and cause route fails.

Like when My sim has to diagnose patients and examine them with the X-ray etc, She doesn't have time to admit patients to their beds. Or sometimes doesnt have time to get to all the patients and it would be helpful if the nurses could treat a diagnosed patient or atleast run tests. But they are just there...

I wouldn't even care if he were just a decorative illusion as long as he'd move and stop blocking my job. ;)

That bugged me too! I think if the center screen was not in the room that your Sim would be able to go around the nurse and interact with the patient. It also bothered me that when you try to put the patient back in bed after a test, that 75% of the time my Sim would pick a bed already occupied. Really annoying.

Here is a fun thing to do: acquire a simray gun that has been upgraded and then use at work to make coworkers do stuff. Bwahahahahahwho said scientists should have all the fun? bwahahahahahah!

Please, make GTW hospital nurses MOVE and do something!

It always bothered me the last person through the door would be the first person in line. Sorry, go sit down and (please) wait your turn. That would so irk me at my real hospital and as a matter of fact it did. lol

You should be getting a notice it's time to go to work and do you want to go with the Sim. You click yes. If you aren't getting the notice then maybe repair your game.

I only just recently made it to the top of the doctor career and one time I followed my sim to work and the nurse actually checked in people from the line but every time I went to run tests (x-ray, treadmill) with the patient they'd check in another patient and the new patient would have their bed So the patient I was working on never got to get back into bed because all the beds were full and as soon as someone got up for tests the bed wasn't empty for long. It's all very frustrating. and if she's not doing that she's playing games on the work computer or just standing out in the lobby.

Its april 2020 and still nurses do nothing! ... almost a year later ... I am thankful for the orderly ... but please have the desk lady assign ppl to beds ... I'd love an option for nurses where u can ask them to do something like take temps ... I don't mind the talky talky cause I figure it's to keep ppl happy while waiting but if I'm at dr status I'm the nurses boss so I should be able to tell them what to do...

Not just the hospital....

And this problem stems from the NPC's not having lives and an AI of their own. Every action is scripted according to the place sims are in. It's like the game is constantly telling them "go idle chat", "go play guitar", "go ask for drinks". It won't matter if the npc sim has low social or what it's just scripted. They didn't use this method so much on TS3 and TS2, or the system worked differently, because regardless of place, sims would still do their own shenanigans, and now they don't. It's like the sims are the background of their own game lol
