You would think with how politically correct and woke EA and Maxis try to be, that the entire premise of "wasting food" would be high up on their "this needs fixed immediately" list considering in RL there are people who go hungry every single day.
I personally never have this problem since I typically only play with a single sim and I direct her on how to cook so I always choose single meal, but I've read enough threads and twitter posts to know that a vast majority of people experience this issue.
It's pretty shameful on EA/Maxis's part to continue to allow this wastefulness to continue.
