I wouldn't want Sims to NEVER initiate actions they dislike, but there should be a reason they're doing them despite disliking them. Some greater desire, need or obligation they have no other way to fill save through the Dreaded Activity.
On this note, I'd love to see The Sims explore the concept of Obligation/Duty in addition to needs, wants, preferences and fears. For example, some parents might feel a duty to put their kids' pleasure before their own, so a Sim parent who hates children's music but has a kid who loves children's music might reluctantly turn the radio to that station and suffer the whole time, but experience a more powerful positive moodlet afterward for having witnessed their kid's enjoyment.
