POLICE in Get To Work and Seasons

Please tell me I’m not the only one who noticed that when you have seasons on, doing the detective career is almost impossible? If you have a task asking to find say a male in red trousers, they won’t be in trousers if it’s a sunny day. I usually turn seasons off for this reason but you’d have thought that wouldn’t happen.

Interesting. I don’t think I’ve played any of those careers since Seasons.

I rarely do because of the amount of bugs in them and I usually have my sims work so I can get rid of them?

  • I noticed this too! My sim would look for the suspect and depending on the weather (hot or cold) they would either be in their hot clothes or cold clothes but the description is for their everyday wear. As soon as I take them to the station, however, they're in their everyday. It makes it harder, which isn't necessarily a bad thing IMO, but I understand the frustration OP.

Yeah it is a pain when they are in their hot weather or cold weather outfit.

The only thing that can be done here is asking other sim if they have seen the suspect and looking where they point at. It will be time consuming though...
  • I've definitely run into this. In fact, because I only bought Get to Work about a year ago, I've never not had that problem. I try to get as many other clues as possible before going after them. And because my cop is a vampire, he uses his vampire powers to read their personality traits, which makes that process a lot quicker.
  • Same problem here, also the get to work careers still have an "ideal mood" requirement when they removed it a long time ago for other careers, so I guess Get to Work is now abandonware just like Dine out
  • encountered this issue to. One thing that I keep doing is use the "Ask to See Outfit" Interactions. That way the NPC will switch to a clothing catgory that you would choose.

This made me realize how the first gamepack in TS4 Outdor retreat is much more playable than GTW
