A lot of my mods are to give me more control over the game like MC Command Center, but I also use mods to enhance game features like making spells more potent. I also use a lot of CAS CC, but stay away from BB CC as I tend not to build.
I'd try the Mod The Sims website as they are a safe place to download mods.
