Almost pure vanilla. I have a few EPs, Kits, Maker content and other official DLC.
I'd prefer not to use mods at all, but I have a couple to help with some issues I have with the game. I see a lot of cool stuff, but I don't want to deal with them getting broken by game updates.
I played Base Game (no mods, no cc) with the the free Holiday Celebration pack for a long time. Actually, that isn't completely true. While I never tried cc, I did try a few mods. But I didn't like any of the mods enough to keep updating them every time an update came out for the game itself. So I've been mostly cc and mod free, with occasional brief use of a few mods.
As far as packs go, I was (to some degree) overwhelmed by all the options. There are SO MANY packs available, and buying all of them isn't an option. Then I got City Living in one of simgirl1010's giveaways and had fun exploring San Myshuno with my Sims. Then I got Vintage Glamour (mainly for the live-in butler feature) and Growing Together in a recent sale. And then I got Seasons in another of simgirl1010's giveaways. I'm still exploring these packs though, so I'm in no rush to get any others.

All Packs (I miss a lot of Marketplace content, but I am not in a rush to buy it), some Mods.
I use some core Mods, like MCCC and UI Extension Mod, but mostly I just have CC content and minimal CAS-related Mods.
Good to see you back Hermitgirl. 😊

All packs, no mods.
I was a heavy mod user during the Sims 3 days (was the only way to keep the game stable) and I just didn't want the hassle of managing mods anymore this time around. I've used a couple small mods in the past (Sulani festival notifications, and increase High School student population), but don't feel I need them anymore, so I'm back to vanilla.

I play with all the packs except many of the kits. I haven't bought all those. I plan to buy most, but not all of them.
I do play with lots of mods, but only from modders I trust. I also take responsibility to update them. As for CC, I use some, but regularly remove the CC I don't find myself using.

Almost all the packs and I call myself 95% vanilla.
The only mods I use are MCCC and the pose player thing.
I can count my CC on my hands, literally! I have a backpack, the hair color slider, and plants. Yes houseplants (because in real life I have almost 200 plants therefore my Sims must also have plants).

Packs but sometime Packs and mods.
I usually tell one main story per save so if there are mods that will help, I'll find them and use them for a little while. For the last month I've been setting up a master starter save and retail businesses that I want to place in it so I've kept it vanilla. But the month before that I was playing out an alien story line and I looked up some mods that helped me play the aliens like I wanted to. (Keeping them secret, stopping abduction pregnancies and keeping new aliens from spawning in the save).

✅Base game +✅essential packs (even though my definition of essential has expanded a lot since I began) and ❌No mods.
