A pollution mechanic that affects all worlds would be interesting, there are however so few things in the sims that affects pollution, if everything you do in the sims would add or reduce pollution, then maybe.
I just don't get what causes the pollution in the first place. Throwing trash on the ground does not cause the air to go bad. In fact, throwing the trash in the bin causes it, because it goes to a factory that burns them. Recycling does reduce pollution but it is on such a small scale in the trailer. That small amount of trash that you are recycling would not reduce the pollution in the world a bit, I assume that comes from industries, changing community lots would have no effect.
I think pollution could be implemented in other worlds via a hidden point system (similar to the IL one) where if your household doesn't use any form of renewable energy and doesn't have any greenery in your lot, it would help the world getting more and more polluted over time.
Sure it's not the most realistic thing, because we don't have factories and cars to pollute the air, but I think it would make sense for it to be this way.
sure or if we have a lot of big houses, with a lot of pools, and high tech equipment, and not anything that goes towards alternative energy, in the form of windturbines, or solar panels... imagine San Mynos, but there arent any solar panels, but you turn a lot of the buildings into very high tech ones, lots of TVs, laptops, pools on the penthouses, hot tubs, fridges, and similar... and resturants and such, and there are nothing that goes towards green energy...
