After reading about so many people feeling lost without their old identity, or finding old friends, having only recognised them before by their avatar, I thought maybe we should have an avatar thread to identify each other, or to make yourself feel more at home again. (also with any old username)
So this was me on the Sims 4 forums: February11
I'm Simmerville like before, and I was lucky to have my forum id transferred with no problem. My old avatar is quite random and old from the TS3 era, so I would have updated it if I could. The yellow dot is probably the most important, as it also reflects my blog. And I was happy that the new forum actuaklly (randomly) handed be a yellow round gem for a starter avatar - unfortunately that was replaced with a face from a game I never ever played...
I recognize most users by their name, but I do sometimes mix them up, LOL. So, the custom avatars would have been a great plus. That said, there's plenty of other improvements that I would applaud even more, like (re-) loading times of threads and the Most Liked sorting which is a nightmare when you revisit long threads and only want to see the new stuff. But hey-ho.

I really hope they let us have our avatars back at some point. Preferably soon.

No, I'm not actually Han Solo, but I'm very much like Han Solo. I have a big, furry and loud best friend and although I prefer doing my own thing, I rarely shy away from joining a good fight for freedom. Yargh.
My personal avatar is a portrait of my identical twin brother's simself - not as good looking as me ofcourse, that's why I use him. I only post my simself avatar at Winterfest when I get to wear a Father Winter hat. Hopefully we can all have our own, proper avatars wearing Father Winter Hats this Winterfest. 🤞🏻
