Potion of youth not working

this happened to my sim also but i though it was cause he was a npc sim

I thought the same but was mistaken. The potion only resets your sim to the beginning of its current age.

same.. this seems to be bugged :(

Look at the days the sim has been an elder. That's all that resets. Your sim won't go back to YA.

Your just old forever.

The potion only works on the life state your Sim is currently in. If you wait till your Sim becomes an elder, they're simply reduced back to Day 1 of the Elder stage. You needed to use the potion during their Adult stage to revert it back to Day 1 of Adult.

Had your Sim just had a birthday? If you take it at the beginning of the life stage, it really doesn't change anything because you're already at the beginning. The benefit is when you're, say, just a few days from becoming an elder and then take it; it takes you back to the beginning of the adult life stage.

Edit: And yeah, be sure you actually drink it.

In my game it's working perfectly.

Works fine in mine, used one just today. Do you have mods installed?
