Power Outages in Sims 4

Other than not paying your bills, is there any way that it can go out with thunderstorms? I've wanted to create a good vampire story with how they sneak in to turn the sim when it was dark and stormy, just wasn't sure if it ever does that?

    There is a mod that will allow a thunderstorm to cause power outages.

    I don't use it, so I can't tell you anything about it.
