Pre Schoolers and Preteens

Am I the only one who wants to add these life stages? I hate that it's only infant, toddler, kid, teen. 5 year old kids are vastly different from 9 year olds. Same with 12 year olds and 16 year olds. I also wants the family portraits to come back. That was my favorite part of the sims 3. Does anyone else agree? Let's let EA hear us!!!

  • I agree 💯 %

For me the kids(toddles-teens) are extremely fun to play in this game. I would like the team to add more gameplay opportunities for the youth especially the child age. I want to teach my kids magic. I like the fact that kids can do yoga, ice skating ,snowboarding  sleding and skiing. I would like to add  ballet and gymnastics as more gamplay options for kids.

  • The toddlers are the preschoolers. As they learn their skills you can see them act older. You can also pay attention to the age in days for your kids. On normal lifespan, they are a kid for 14 days. What I do is use the clothing in CAS to make them look like a young kid. After 7 sim days, zi take them back into CAS abs use the clothing to make them look like a preteen. It is very simple to do. I do the same for the teen lifestage. They are teens for 21 days. The first 10 days the look like younger teens based on the clothing choices and possible braces on the teeth. On day 11, I take them back into CAS to make them look older with clothing choices and such. It is a simple way to get the effect of more lifestages that you want. So not, I do not think we need more lifestages in the game. I personally think that players just need to use their imagination and the tools in CAS to make the current lifestages in-game appear younger/older. Btw, I do the same tactic in CAS with the young adult stage since it is now 42 days long. I sometimes will do the tactic for the adult stage if I need to for storytelling purposes.

I am currently writing the story of my Sims. I use my writing to also note their ages, per se. I have a particular update that mentions adolescence. Erik was twelve at the time.

  • In my mind, Toddlers are already Pre-Schoolers, for one. But I do agree that we need the middle school age Sim. There is a HUGE difference between a 11–12-year-old child and the much older teen we have now. LOL Since we don't have them, I just write them up as the age I have them in my imagination for my Sims Story.

To be honest toddlers do full that roll for me when it comes to preschool like if they ever decide to add a daycare or preschool for Toddlers then it will be fine. Now Preteens I'm with you all the way I wanted Preteens introduced to the Sims Franchise back in Sims 2. The Preteen Sim won't be a child but still not a Teenager like a tween can cook or bake but a child can't a tween can play with void critters, collect void critters, play on the playground or just hang out on the playground. I see preteens as like the Jan and Peter of the Brady Bunch Family. Also they experienced puberty like the voice cracking and changing.
