Pregnant by Woohoo?

So what exactly are the chances of a sim getting pregnant by woohoo and not try for baby? It has happened to me twice unexpectedly, and on families that I don't want to have a baby yet because I'm trying to advance them in careers. Also do aliens increase the chance of this happening?

  • I think from now on, if I want to have "risky woohoo" in my game (I don't use cc or mods), I'll just use a 20-sided die. I'll pick a number that means I have to click Try for Baby instead of Woohoo (so 5% chance). If I want to decrease the odds further, I could have to get that number twice in a row, or just whatever rule suits my purpose. I like it :)
  • I checked too. I can't see any code for pregnancy in the normal woohoo files. Like Candyd, I can only see the code in the 'try for baby' files.

Thank you, @Cinderellimouse. At least I think we can now say for certain that the code is not the cause of it. If there are unintended woohoo pregnancies, they are just that.... unintended by the game itself.

sorry but this thread and others prove otherwise

The problem is it's all hear-say. There's no actual proof to be shown. How does anyone know that someone that claims their sim got pregnant by basic Woohoo aren't using Mods or accidently clicked the wrong option?
We don't. A claim is just a claim without some sort of undeniable proof. I don't know if this is possible or not myself, never seen it in sims 3 or 4 myself, but if Gurus say it's not possible, I think their word can be taken, seeing as they'd know.
But that's just my two cents.

Except that weird things tend to happen in Sims like the one time in my game in 2 when the butler stole one of my sims baby's (I'm sure it was a glitch and yeah you don't have any proof except my saying so but believe me I was upset when it happened I even tried to adopt a child to see if I could get it back but no my sims baby boy was gone for good tried shutting game down and not saving was still gone) In 3 I had a family who had 6 children all but two were children so I thought I'll take the older kids on a trip to Egypt and hire a baby sitter to watch the younger two until my family returns. I get my sims back from traveling and the babysitter was gone and one of the toddlers was missing. It showed that it was in the family when I was in the town mode so I split the mom and the "missing" child into the house they had lived in (before their family got so big) and then moved them back in but it was very stressful cause I thought I had lost another toddler. I'm sure there's more crazy stories out there besides just mine. Oh and in the latter families case no babysitter would ever come back to baby sit so I guess everybody in town knew about the incident lol IDK?

Actually this has happened in nearly every sim game.
  • I feel like this would make the game a lot more interesting in random events like unexpected pregnancies happen because well it forces you as a player to have your storyline progress.

I totally agree. I would love to even have a game option where you could enable accidental pregnancy. It would make things more fun and challenging.
  • Hey, that's what happened to me 25 years ago.
My woohoo oops turned out to be a beautiful girl who grew up to be a beautiful young woman.
She's also a Sims 3 & Sims 4 player like her momma. Lol.
  • If you don't mind mods get MCCC you can control things like Risky Woohoo and try for a baby as high or low as you want it.
