Prom every week?

Is prom going to be at the end of every week? It kind of looked that way on the stream.
I imagined it at the end of school but I don’t play a typical lifeline and my teens stay teens for a long time. Does this mean several proms or one prom when you decide it’s time to graduate?

  • I think what I might do is create two versions of the auditorium building. One will be a generic party setting.
The other one will be a full decked out Extravagant Prom setting.

I will treat all the other proms as fun rehearsal parties, but the final prom before my sims graduate will be the actual prom.
And I will just plop down the true building the week of the prom. That way I won't have to keep redecorating the two different proms.
  • Well we can skip prom, but yes this should been a event on my calender

You can do that with rooms as well; so that why the exterior stays the same. Also the lot type is similar to the maker lot where it will change the inside based on the event.
  • Agree with everyone else that it would have been so much easier if prom was an event we scheduled on the calendar if we wanted it. So so many players from so many countries do not have a prom or anything like it, seems odd to have it forced. I personally hated prom, but back then it was 100% presumed hetero, the most daring thing anyone did was the guy who came in full Scottish formal dress, a formal kilt and all.

Hey that would be so cool as an option for men for formal wear! I saw a guy in a casual modern kilt, it was Ike, canvas with a hammer loop.
    Like a Carharrt Kilt ?

  • I went to school in the 70s and it was mostly awful, but the one thing they did right was the monthly school disco
  • yeah I think they should have done it like once a season or something
but then again I guess some people do play short lifespan
  • You have to schedule your own chess and computer events or ask the principal to schedule it. I don’t know why they didn’t do the same thing for prom.

All I can think is that the other sims wouldn’t be able to ask your Sim to prom.
