puppy not aging up

my sims puppy was suppose to age up two sim days ago and didn't.. how do I make it happen?
  • Hello
You can buy the age up treat at the Vets or have your sim craft it on the crafting table, and eating that will make them age up.
  • They should age up automatically, unless you have your game settings to not allow autoage. If it is set to not allow autoageing, you need to use the treat to age up pets.
The treat is just a workaround to help with the issue you are having in your game.
  • @rosemow thank you.. don't they normally age up automatically? I'll have them buy one at the vet.

    What is your aging settings?
Here's the lenght of the puppy stage:
    Short: 0-1 days.
    Normal: 1-2 days.
    Long: 4-6 days.
Lifespan for each pet is different no matter of the settings.

Like Egon mentioned, your life span setting may be what's causing longer. Do you have the game set on long life span? If so, a sim would normally age up 1 day after their bar is filled up but this becomes 3 days on the long age span setting.
  • I wonder if the randomized age lifespans affected pets as well? Maybe before the Seasons patches you knew how long the puppy would take to age, but after those patches the puppy no longer ages up the same length of time?
  • According to the age bar the puppy should have aged up 3 sim days before I aged him up.. the age bar was at 0 days

Pets had randomized since Cats and Dogs expansion pack was released. So it's only sims who got affected with Seasons' randomized aging.

I assume the aging is just like sims have.
When the aging bar reaches full sim (pet) won't age up immediately. Instead, it takes...
    12 hours on short setting.
    1 day on normal setting.
3 (or 4) days on long setting.

The short lifespan is two times shorter than normal but long lifespan is four times longer than normal.
