Put a child up for adoption to be re-adopted??

You can't put sims up for adoption.

Maybe you can pretend a sim family member/family friend is staying over with the family for a few days and move them in with manage worlds. Have the parents die and then have the "visiting" sim watch over the child sim until the other family is ready to adopt the child and transfer the child (via manage worlds) to the adoptive family.

Takes some imagination, but it's just an idea.

I wish we could something like this also.

You can move the child to a NiW household (foster family) through Manage Households and then delete the parents' household. I don't think there are step-parent relationships, though.

Dumping the child on one of the townies is a way of putting him for adoption but without a change in family tree/.
If you want the child removed from family tree you just need to delete him and pretend in your mind that you put him for adoption in a different country.

If you want to sell the child, lol that cannot be done but still you can imagine it this way:
1- Delete the child (imagining you put him for adoption)
2- Use the money cheat to add say 1000 to your funds (the proceeds of selling him lol)

Sometimes the game does not offer the direct solution but you need to use your own imagination for something.

That was possible in TS2, unfortunately in TS4 children that are taken by the invisible social worker are deleted from the game. :|

Thanks for your help, I think I might just have her as a daughter of the family with a different last name xx

I know but heres hoping for ts5 lol or maybe they could bring out an expansion pack for adoption idk

Thanks and thats ok ill just have the relationship as daughter but have a different last name xx

ok thanks I'm just gonna change their last name and have her as a daughter instead of step-daughter xx
